TREKKER ESSAY

I would love to have a Trekker GPS. I believe that having this tool will give me the confidence and independence I need to travel places. I think that by getting a Trekker GPS at a young age, I can practice before I go to college. I really want to feel comfortable with a GPS before I go to college. It will be much easier learning my way around places at college than it would be to learn my way around the campus, and learn the GPS at the same time. 

I think it would so awesome to know exactly where you are, which direction you're heading, which way you have to go in order to get to a certain place, and at which speed you’re traveling at any given time. I also think a GPS would be nice so I can plan routes to my favorite places and not be scared to travel to them. A GPS will also be nice because I won't always have to take a bus, or ask people for rides. With a GPS I could walk and get more exercise. For example, I might plan routes to places like my friend's house, the bus stop, the grocery store (when I get older), or any other place I like to travel. 

I think it would be cool to walk down the street and know what is around you. This will help me when I'm an adult on my own because if I go to a new state, I think it would be interesting to know what places I pass. I won't always have to ask people, "Is there a McDonald’s around here?" Having a GPS will also be good when I go to college. It would help me out immensely! I could plan routes to all my classes and different places on the campus. A GPS will be really helpful, especially if I go to a big college campus. I wouldn't have to ask other students where my classes were. If I were a student I think it would be annoying to always have to help someone find their classes when I already have my own classes to worry about.
